NexAgent Start free trial
For roofing contractors

Miss the call. They can still get a text back.

Calls to your NexAgent number ring your mobile first. If a call rings out, the caller can leave a voicemail, and a caller on a cell phone gets a text back with your booking link, nights and weekends included. When you tell us a job's finished, that customer can get a text asking for a Google review.

It runs on a new number we set up for you, not the one on your truck. That number keeps working exactly as it does today, and nothing goes on your website. Put the new one wherever you want calls caught.

The problem

A homeowner who only gets voicemail can just call the next roofer.

01

You can't answer from a roof

Calls come in while you're on a job, driving, or done for the day. Voicemail alone gives the caller nothing to do next except try someone else.

02

Asking for reviews slips

Your Google reviews are what a homeowner sees when they look you up. Asking every customer by hand is easy to forget at the end of a long job.

How it works

Your number rings you. Miss it, and they can leave a voicemail and get a text.

01

Rings your mobile first

Calls to your NexAgent number ring your mobile for about 18 seconds, set to stop before a phone's voicemail usually picks up. Answer, and it's a normal call.

02

Takes a voicemail, texts them back

If a call rings out, the caller hears a short automated line saying the message is recorded and sent to you, and can leave a voicemail of up to 2 minutes. You get an email with their number and a machine transcript of what they said, which can be wrong or blank. A caller on a cell phone also gets one text with your booking link. A landline can't get texts, and a call you decline or your phone sends to its own voicemail can count as answered, so no text goes. It sends one automatic text, not a conversation. If they text back, their message is emailed to you.

03

Can ask for the review

When the work is finished you tell us — a text or an email, whatever suits you — and we mark that job done. The customer then gets one text with your Google review link, but only if they first reached you through your NexAgent number. It checks every hour, so a job finished weeks later still gets it (no sooner than 3 days after they first got in touch, or the number of days you pick, and no later than 120 days).

Examples

What happens in six common cases

"Acme Roofing" below is a made-up company standing in for yours; the links would be your own. The texts are examples. Each reply is written fresh for the caller, but two parts are fixed: it says it's an automated assistant, and it includes "Reply STOP to opt out." The rest follows set rules: include your booking link, and give no prices, no diagnosis and no arrival times.

Missed call · 9:47 PM

Your mobile rings out. The caller hears: "Sorry we missed your call. After the beep you can leave a message. It will be recorded and sent to the business." You get an email with their number and a machine transcript of the message. If they called from a cell phone, they also get:

Hi there, thanks for calling. This is the automated assistant for Acme Roofing. Sorry we missed you. You can pick a time here: acmeroofing.example/book Reply STOP to opt out.
A homeowner texts your number
Hi, I've got a leak over the garage. How much would a repair run?
Hi there, thanks for the message. This is the automated assistant for Acme Roofing. It can't give prices by text. You can pick a time to go over it here: acmeroofing.example/book Reply STOP to opt out.
You answer the call

It's a normal phone call. No text is sent. A call counts as missed only if it isn't answered, the line is busy or the call fails. A call you decline, or one your phone sends to its own voicemail (do not disturb, phone off), can also count as answered, and then no text goes.

Same person calls again an hour later

No second text. Each caller gets at most one automatic text in 12 hours, so nobody gets texted twice. Anything they text your number in that time doesn't get an automatic answer. It's emailed to you instead, up to 3 emails an hour from one number.

They reply "please don't text me again"

They get no more automatic texts from your number, including the review request. "STOP" works, and so do plain requests like this one. Their message is emailed to you so you know.

You tell us the job is finished
This is the automated assistant for Acme Roofing. Hi there, thanks for having us out. Would you mind leaving a quick Google review? Takes about 30 seconds: g.page/r/acme-roofing If anything was not right, you can also reply here and we will sort it. Reply STOP to opt out.

This wording is fixed, not written fresh. It is sent only during legal texting hours for the customer's state and time zone: 8am to 8pm in most states.

Built for how you run jobs

No phone tree. No call center. No contract to get stuck in.

Works alongside your crew

A caller you miss can leave a voicemail, and a caller on a cell phone gets a text back. It doesn't replace anyone on your team.

A number of your own

We set up a dedicated toll-free number for your business that forwards to your mobile. It has to be verified before it can text anyone, usually 3-5 business days.

You set the rules

Your booking link, review link and after-hours message are set up with you before anything goes live.

Cancel anytime

No long-term contract. If it's not saving you jobs, you're not locked in.

Pricing

$297 a month.

One plan. No setup fee, no contract, no card to start. Cancel online or by email.

What you get

  • A dedicated toll-free number that rings your mobile
  • A text back with your booking link when a call from a cell phone rings out, or someone texts the number
  • Voicemail: a caller you miss can leave a message of up to 2 minutes, and you get an email with their number and a machine transcript of it (it can be wrong or blank)
  • A Google review request text after you tell us a job is finished
  • Texts customers send to your number, emailed to you (up to 3 an hour and 10 a day from one number)
  • Setup done with you: your booking link, review link and after-hours note

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't answer calls. A caller you miss hears one short automated line and can leave a voicemail. Nobody talks to them live
  • It can't text a landline. A call you decline, or one your phone sends to its own voicemail, can count as answered, and then no text goes
  • It doesn't book appointments or read your calendar. The caller picks a time with your own booking link
  • It doesn't hold a text conversation: one automatic reply per caller in 12 hours. What they send after that is emailed to you to answer
  • Nothing goes on your website. It runs on a new number, not the one you have now

How the trial works

  1. 1. You sign up. No card.
  2. 2. Your new number gets verified so it can send texts. That usually takes 3-5 business days.
  3. 3. Your 14 free days start the day the number goes live, not the day you sign up.
  4. 4. Seven days before the trial ends, you get an email with a secure link to add a card.
  5. 5. Add one and your card is charged $297 on the day the trial ends, then every month until you cancel. Don't, and the service stops when the trial ends. You're never charged.
Start your 14-day free trial To size it up, divide your average job by $297.

Three things worth knowing before you sign up

  • You are contracting with a person, not a company. NexAgent is a trade name of Maher Gamal, a sole trader in Sweden. There is no limited company behind it.
  • Texting your customers is your call, and your responsibility. US law (the TCPA) says they must have a reason to hear from you. You confirm you have that, and you cover the cost if a message of yours breaks the rules. The full wording is in the Terms, section 5.
  • The limits are real numbers, not "fair use". One automatic reply per caller per 12 hours; relayed texts capped at 3 an hour and 10 a day from one number, 100 a day in total.
Questions

Before you reply

Does this replace my office staff? +

No. A caller you missed can leave a voicemail, and a caller on a cell phone gets one text with your booking link. You and your office still answer questions, confirm times and do everything else.

When does my free trial start? +

The day your number goes live, not the day you sign up. Your new number has to be verified before it can text anyone back, and that usually takes 3-5 business days. Your 14 free days start once it is live.

What happens after the free trial? +

You decide if it's worth $297/month for your business. No card is needed to start. Seven days before the trial ends, you get an email with a secure link to add a card. If you add one, your card is charged $297 on the day the trial ends, then every month until you cancel. If you don't, the service stops when the trial ends and you're never charged.

Will homeowners know they're talking to an AI? +

Yes. Every automatic text says it's the automated assistant for your business, and it is told never to claim to be a person. Each one also says how to opt out: reply STOP.

What happens to my business data? +

It's used only to run your service, and it's never sold or used for advertising. Your setup details and your callers' messages are kept in NexAgent's records in Google Sheets, and the texts callers send are emailed to you. They pass through the services that run it: Twilio for calls, texts and voicemail recordings, Groq for writing replies, n8n to connect them, Stripe for billing and Google for email. Answered calls are never recorded. A voicemail a caller chooses to leave is recorded and kept by Twilio, and a machine transcript of it is emailed to you. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I cancel? +

Two ways: online, with the secure billing link in your reminder email, or by emailing mate@getnexagent.com. Cancelling stops future charges, and the service runs to the end of the month you've paid for. Cancel within 7 days of your first $297 charge and it's refunded in full, and the service stops that day. After that, what's already paid isn't refunded, including part of a month. There's no cancellation fee.
